So I have this Digital Imaging II class at CSU East Bay in Hayward, Ca, and we have this project where we need to pick two bands (recording artists) and create a promotional poster for them. Now this school thing is starting to feel like free work if you ask me. But never the less I've been listening to a lot of Kanye West and Roots lately so I decided to give my rendition of of the present efforts.
I haven't had a chance to get to the Glow in the Dark Tour but I still have the fingers crossed on it. In case you were wondering I plan on turning in the fluorescent light with the bear in the O version for the assignment. Reason being, I just like the cleanliness and the crazy line version is not legible but is a good start on picking up on a new technique, (for me).
The Roots have another Drum and Lyric driven album on the shelf right now and it's another one that you need to have in your collection. I must admit the styling doesn't quite match the sound but once again this one was for a class so I decided to have some fun with some different treatments I had been meaning to grasp so I went for it here.
All in all I feel like it's a success. I learned so new ways of doing things and the finished product looks good. The originals are 24x36 and I know I can't sell them so if anyone wants a copy just contact me through the site.
